Join us this summer for an exciting new program: Drama and Dance courses for ages 7-17, led by Torie Jock!
WHEN: June 20th – August 27th, Tuesdays and Thursdays
(excluding 4th of July and subject to change upon availability of students signed up)
Drama: 4:00pm – 5:30pm
Dance: 5:30pm – 6:30pm
COST: FOR THE ENTIRE SUMMER!
Students in both drama & dance – $150 total
Students in drama only – $120 total
Students in dance only – $100 total
AGES: 7 – 17
(age groups may be broken into separate classes depending on signups)
There will be a show at the end of August. Date will be decided after classes begin.
Course Descriptions:
Drama: The first week we will start out learning the basics of theater technique, such as blocking, projection, improvisation, proper stance, etc. through acting, theater games, and warm-ups. We will quickly move on to working on the play that will be performed at the end of the summer. Each class will begin with a warm-up exercise before jumping into rehearsing the play. EVERY STUDENT WILL BE CAST IN THE PLAY.
Dance: The first week we will start out with stretching and learning a basic hip hop combination. We will quickly move on to working on the choreography for the hip hop routine that will be performed at the end of the summer. Each class will begin with some brief stretching before learning and rehearsing the choreography.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Torie Jock started in the performance industry at just one year old. Torie started out dancing and modeling and then quickly became involved in many aspects of the industry. She competed at numerous dance competitions, being sent to nationals multiple times. Torie started singing and acting at nine years old, and she has been writing her own music since she was old enough to write. Torie has been in many theatrical performances, playing various roles, from starring roles to supporting. Catch Torie in many film roles, including but not limited to Dani in “Stay Outta Trouble” (2021), which she also wrote and co-directed; Rachel in the upcoming feature film “HTMD” (2022); and Jasmine in the feature film “Illuminate” (2021). Torie has written many plays and film scripts and continues to do so. She has directed multiple shows, starting at the age of sixteen, and she has been working with youth as a dance assistant/teacher since the age of twelve. She co-founded the production company JCMT Productions and is currently teaming up with Mad Z Productions. Torie has additionally released several albums of original music.
